Blister Card Coding

An offline coding system can provide the perfect solution for the late stage customisation of blister cards.

An offline coding system is ideal for the late stage printing of blister and header cards.

 

One manufacturing site can often use hundreds of variants of blister card with the only difference being the information printed on it. In general blister cards are: of a regular shape; reasonably flat; easy to make a durable print on and capable of being handled at high speed.

 

There are two technologies most commonly employed for the printing, namely thermal inkjet (TIJ) or thermal transfer.

The most popular feeders for fitting thermal inkjet are the RF Lite and RF Auto, depending on sizes of cards and required throughput. Both have a relatively small footprint and offer a cost-effective solution that is ideal for printing on both porous and non-porous surfaces with a resolution of up to 600 dpi.

 

Our RF Lite TT offers a unique feeder printer combination. Fitted with a large area thermal transfer printer, the RF Lite TT can print a large amount of information and can offer different ribbon colours.
